ReplyRichard, I just spoke to Rockwood BOE President Bill Brown, who confirmed that yes, the actions taken here resulted in an additional cost of $246,746. He also said the amount, in essence, would be offset by some recent, projected savings next school year, due to re-organizing some administrator duties post-retirement of Dennis Griffith and Steve Beatty. http://eureka-wildwood.patch.com/articles/two-rockwood-administrators-to-retire

Election results are considered to be unofficial until the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners certify them. They have two weeks after the election date to certify the results. Eureka city administrator said the Board of Election Commissioners certified the April 2 election results on Tuesday, April 16. Eureka's newly elected officials were sworn into office the same day the election results were certified.
