Hazelwood West Middle School's Principal Leaving HSD

Allison Klouse has accepted a position as principal at Wildwood Middle School in the Rockwood School District.

Hazelwood West Middle School's (HWMS) head principal, Allison Klouse, began her career as a middle school teacher in the Fort Zumwalt School District where she taught for six years, and was a principal for about the same amount of time. For the last four years, Klouse served as the principal of HWMS and in her last email blast to parents announced she would leaving the Hazelwood School District effective July 1. "I want to inform you that I have been offered and have accepted the position of Building Principal at Wildwood Middle School in the Rockwood School District beginning July 1, 2012," she said in her email. Hazelwood West Middle School Students Removed from School Premises for Sexual Misconduct

Two male students reportedly attempted "sexual relations" with a female student in one of the school's bathrooms, according to an email sent out to parents today.

According to an email sent out to parents today, Hazelwood West Middle School administration and the Hazelwood Police Department are dealing with a situation deemed as "attempted inappropriate sexual relations." "In order to prevent the spread of misinformation and keep the lines of communication open, we want to provide you with information regarding a recent situation at West Middle School," the email stated. "Earlier this week, a female student reported that, toward the end of the day, in the lower cafeteria area, two male students attempted sexual relations with her in the boy’s bathroom." Hazelwood West Middle School Students Tech It Out

The West Middle School cross-curricular class combines art and technology.

One could say that Hazelwood West Middle School teachers Elaine Eversgerd and Chris Weil have a strong dedication to their jobs and the youth they teach. So much so that the pair has decided to collaborate once again, on a grander scale.  Eversgerd, one of the school’s art teachers, and Weil, the Gateway to Technology teacher, came together to offer their academic excellence students a more rigorous program of study. “These kids were also able to learn real-life skills – time management, large group skills, responsibility and co-habitation with more than one other person,” Weil said.
