Fast Classics Chicken Sold at Walmart Recalled, Some Sold in Missouri Locations

The Advance Pierre Foods packages of chicken fried chicken breasts distributed to Walmart stores may contain metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says.

Advance Pierre Foods based out of Enid, Oklahoma is recalling approximately 1,200 pounds of chicken fried chicken breasts that may contain small pieces of metal, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The chicken breasts being recalled were packaged and shipped before all corrective actions could be taken, according to authorities. New USDA Nutrition Standards Coming for 2012-2013 HSD School Year

Hazelwood School District will meet new federal nutrition standards for breakfasts and lunches.

Starting in the 2012-2013 school year, the Hazelwood School District, which participates in the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) School Meal Programs are required to meet new nutrition standards for breakfast and lunch meals. The change is driven by the 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, that President Barack Obama signed into law. It is part of first lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign to improve the nation’s health.
