Hazelwood Police said the man burglarized St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and Hazelwood Baptist Church two times each.
A man broke into two Hazelwood churches two times each and stole items, police said. Nelson Thomas, 18, of the 600 block of Holiday Avenue, was charged Thursday with four counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of felony stealing, one count of misdemeanor stealing and first-degree property damage. The man entered the home, took the car keys and stole a 2003 Dodge Durango, Hazelwood Police said.
A man snuck into a neighbor’s home on Hazelcrest Drive Dec. 10 and then stole an SUV belonging to the neighbor, Hazelwood Police said. Shawon Jones, 18, of the 7500 block of Hazelcrest Drive in Hazelwood, was charged Wednesday with first-degree burglary and stealing a vehicle. Hazelwood Police said Jones entered a neighbor’s home, also in the 7500 block of Hazelcrest and took the car keys while the owner was in the house. He then stole the neighbor’s 2003 Dodge Durango SUV, polic said. Jones was being held in St. Louis County jail on Friday. Bail was set at $60,000, cash only. A department store employee at Chesterfield Mall had his credit-debit card stolen by a co-worker, police said. Omega Jones, 21, of the 5300 block of Knoll Creek Drive in Hazelwood, was charged Monday with stealing a credit card, a class C felony, and fraudulent use of a credit card, a class A misdemeanor. Chesterfield Police said the credit card was stolen Aug. 5 from the Macy's shoe department stock room and used at a Schnucks, Shell gas station, Walgreens and McDonalds. Jones was working on the day of the theft and was the only shoe department employee who left the store before the fraudulent charges were made, police said. A Hazelwood man faces criminal charges after police said he broke into a home twice last year and stole items from a neighbor. Rodney Williams, 34, of the 7200 block of Hazelcrest Drive in Hazelwood, was charged Friday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. Hazelwood Police said Williams entered another home in the 7200 block of Hazelcrest on June 25 and June 30, 2011, stealing two televisions and a gold wedding band. a total value estimated at $1,000. A Hazelwood man who accused people on his street of robbing him turned the tables and broke into their home Tuesday while they were talking to police, Hazelwood Police reported. The man later admitted to police making up the robbery story, according to a police report. Sidney Brown, 22, of the 500 block of Lynn Haven in Hazelwood, was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary.
