A 45-year-old North County man was indicted on charges that he had sex with a 13-year-old girl from Hazelwood. Prosecutors said that Robin Thomas, of the 9700 block of Conquistador in unincorporated North County east of Dellwood, had sex with the underage girl on Aug. 25 to Aug. 26. Hazelwood Police found sexually related texts from Thomas to the girl, who was found at his home hiding under a pile of clothes. The girl told police at the time that she had sex with Thomas and that she loves him. Thomas is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $75,000, cash only. The Ferguson man's alleged incidents involved a child under 12 years old three to five years ago.
A Ferguson man was charged in St. Louis County Circuit Court Wednesday with having deviate sex with a child under the age of 12 from April 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2009. Dzevad Karabegovic, 25, is charged with 10 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and six counts of attempted statutory sodomy. A Berkeley Police detective said Karabegovic lived in Berkeley at the time of the incidents. Court records list his Berkeley address in the 8700 block of Kathlyn Drive. The web site case.net lists Karabegovic’s address in the 900 block of Second Street in St. Charles.
