What Are You Giving Up for Lent?

Lent began on yesterday, Ash Wednesday. Tell us in the comments section what you have decided to retire for Lent.

Lent marks the 40-day period in Christianity in which Jesus went into the desert to fast and pray. This leads to observation of Holy Week, which commemorates Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection on Easter Sunday. Christians in the City of Hazelwood and all over began the day with a fast and a vow to give up food or a vice for 40 days. Many people also give up meat each Friday during Lent. According to Catholic.org, Lent is meant to serve as a time of abstinence, fasting and end up a bit closer to God.
