Should parents be able to post pics of a mother breastfeeding on Facebook? Should Sesame Street be teaching children about the subject?
This week's Parents Talk topic deals with breastfeeding. An always controversial topic, it can become even more inflamed when you bring in two aspects—breastfeeding in public and breastfeeding on Seasame Street. The National Post has a story out of Vancouver, Canada of a breastfeeding mom who is taking on Facebook's nudity policy about the subject. Facebook and the breastfeeding activists are engaged in a battle over the posting of photographs that show mothers feeding their babies. @Candace, I also pumped with my oldest two since I worked in a corporate setting at the time. And in my case, after they were able to start eating some food, I was able to keep the nursing in private settings for the most part. @Denise--Agreed. The scene in the video above was ok for me, but I wouldn't want a breastfeeding puppet. :)   more ›
