Kyle McClellan to Pitch Against the Brewers Tuesday
McClellan may be ready to audition for the Ranger's fifth spot. Shoulder soreness has delayed him.
It seems Kyle McClellan may finally get a chance to prove his talent as the Texas Rangers have plans to have the non-roster right-hander pitch in a game Tuesday. According to a Dallas Morning News blog, the Rangers plan on having McClellan pitch Tuesday against Milwaukee Brewers. Washington said there is time for McClellan to make enough of an impression to make the major league club. McClellan can opt out of his contract March 22. Kyle McClellan has waited all spring while he recovered from a sore shoulder as other candidates for the fifth starter slot continually took to the mound in an effort to stake their claim to the job.
