Bridgeton Parks Department to Host Summer Employment Workshop

The Bridgeton Parks staff will provide information on what positions are available and give tips on what constitutes a great job application.

The Bridgeton Parks and Recreation Department will host a summer employment workshop at the Bridgeton Community Center on Sunday from 2-3 p.m.   The event is free and students must be 15 years old or older and must pre-register to attend the event.   The Bridgeton Parks staff will provide information on what positions are available and what the qualifications and requirements are for each position as well as give tips on what constitutes a great job application and how to "wow" a potential employers in an interview.   To reserve a spot, call 314-739-5599. Holiday Craft Bazaar Draws Crowds

The Hazelwood Community Center and Parks & Recreation Division sponsors the Hazelwood Holiday Craft Bazaar as an avenue for local artists and vendors.

The City of Hazelwood Parks and Recreation hosted its Hazelwood Holiday Craft Bazaar on Nov. 13.   The Hustler family was among the people who headed to the Hazelwood Community Center to get into the spirit of the season. "We figured we'd spend some more time together after my son Miles' soccer game," Katie Hutsler said. "We thought the craft bazaar was a perfect idea."  Hutsler's own mother came along; so did sons Miles, 7, and Joe, 2, who was giggly and somewhat antsy as local artist Brian Hassler sketched the toddler's portrait in charcoal.
