The performance organization wants to hear stories from local moms that will be chosen for a May 11 Mother's Day show.

Do you have a crazy or heartwarming story you want to share about motherhood? Then a special performance debuting in May could be your chance to tell it. Listen to Your Mother (LTYM) is part of a national series of 24 live readings that will take place across the country to celebrate Mother’s Day 2013. The show will be on Saturday, May 11, at the St. Luke's Institute for Health Education. St. Louis is among 24 cities selected to host this special performance, which will feature some of St. Louis’ most talented writers and bloggers on the beauty, the best, and the barely rested of motherhood. Hazelwood Patch Picks

Happy Mother's Day!

Enjoy a few facts about the day dedicated for the hardest workers on the planet. Share your Mother's Day memories and photos.

Happy Mother's Day! As a mother myself what I've come to enjoy on my special Sunday is breakfast in bed and one stem each of my favorite flowers--a tulip and a tiger lily. What makes the day meaningful is having those you take care of day in and day out express gratitude for the task. Nothing is better than your child or significant other telling you that you did a good job. So how did the holiday come about? Here's a few facts you may or may not have known about Mother's Day in America and being a mom. Remember you can like Hazelwood Patch on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HazelwoodPatch. Happy Mother's Day. Here's the final installment of our fast facts series regarding the special day.

After the US adopted Mother's Day in 1908, the custom began to spread throughout the world. Thanks, MothersDayCentral.com, for giving us a glimpse at how Mother's Day is celebrated around the world: (Personally, I'd take a nice breakfast and a box of Godiva chocolates. Although tying the kids up until they promise to behave has its merits, too.) (Thanks, MothersDayCentral.com) IHere's  five fast facts about Mother's Day gifts, courtesy of the U.S. Census Bureau…
