Jamestown's JC Penney Outlet Remaining Open

The store is undergoing a name change during the next year as a part of its transition.

For those under the impression that the JC Penney Outlet at Jamestown Mall might be closing soon, no need to worry. As reported late last year by the St. Louis Business Journal, the outlet is undergoing the conversion to JC’s 5 Star Outlet along with other stores across the nation. According to a recent company press release, the outlet will change in name only during the next 15 months, and merchandise and prices will remain fairly the same. In addition, the store will retain most of the employees in their positions with the store. The store is a part of Jamestown Mall, which has been under close watch as to what could happen with the property in the future.
