Last Chance: Hazelwood, Boy Scouts Will Recycle Your Holiday Tree

Both entities are providing avenues for Hazelwood residents that want to get rid of their holiday trees in the New Year.

The City of Hazelwood is partnering again with Allied Waste Services to help residents get rid of their real Christmas trees after the first of the year.  Allied will be picking up real Christmas trees in the Hazelwood area through  January 31. Normally, Allied charges a $2 fee for picking up live trees; however, Hazelwood residents who are signed up for Allied's Yard Waste Service won't have to pay this fee. Hazelwood Foots the Bill Additionally, the City of Hazelwood is offering to pay the $2 fee for residents who haven't signed up for yard waste service and still need their real Christmas trees taken away.  To take advantage of this deal, residents should contact Allied's Customer Service Department at 636-947-5959 to schedule a pick-up…
