Hazelwood police arrest Precious Agobe for fraudulent use of a credit device and identity theft on Tuesday in the 7600 block of N. Lindbergh Boulevard.
A St. Louis man is in jail after Hazelwood Police Department officers discovered what was described as a "considerable sum of month and stolen credit cards." Precious Agobe, 28, of the 3200 block of Delor in South St. Louis, was arrested for fraudulent use of a credit device. This happened on Tuesday at about 8:25 a.m. According to a HPD press release a unit responded to the 7600 block of N. Lindbergh Boulevard for a call about a suspicious occupied vehicle. Officers found the cash and cards during a search. The St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney office charged Agobe with identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit device. Hazelwood Police officer’s found a 4 year old girl drifting in-and-out of consciousness, with multiple injuries to her head, neck, back and stomach.
A Hazelwood man is in jail after police officers found a 4-year-old girl unresponsive in the 200 block of Chez Vant Court. That man is 21-year-old James Edward Jones. Hazelwood Police Capt. James Hudanick said officer’s found the child drifting in-and-out of consciousness when officers arrived. Hazelwood Fire Department EMS later arrived and found the child had sustained multiple injuries to her head, neck, back and stomach. Hudanick said Jones lived at the residence and was the child's mother's boyfriend. Jones was at home when officers arrived. Hudanick said it became evident Jones was the abuser during the interview process, but could not go into deeper detail. The child was transported to the hospital for treatment. Jones was charged …

Police Week 2013 in Hazelwood is this week, so it's only fitting to mention some recently promoted police officers.
Hazelwood Chief of Police Gregg Hall said one decision he's made without a second thought is to promote three Hazelwood Police Department (HPD) officers. "I'm truly honored," he said at a recent Hazelwood City Council meeting. "These are three people that I have worked with their whole career." Those people are James F. Hudanick and Ken Jewson, both promoted to the rank of captain. Henry Mansker was promoted to the rank of major. Hall spoke fondly of each. "Henry's been here since 1975," He said. "He's done everything in the Hazelwood Police Department from sweeping floors to running our special investigators unit." Brooke Maynard was sentenced to seven years in prison related to the drowning death of her infant son Roman Bell last December.
A 24-year-old woman that moved to Hazelwood from Florida last year plead guilty to reduced charges related to her infant son's death. Brooke Maynard was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and murder in the second-degree after her infant son died in the hotel room bathtub in which they were staying. Maynard pleaded guilty to reduced charges on April 18 of first-degree involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child, according to Missouri Case.net.
