Man Assaulted Woman, Knocked Toddler into Wall, Police Say
Hazelwood Police said the man attacked the woman after kicking in her door; the two have a child together.
A man is accused of breaking into a Hazelwood home Thursday, attacking a woman and endangering a child during the assault. Michael Sean Jones, 23, of the 700 block of Beardsley in Ferguson, was charged Friday with first-degree burglary, third-degree domestic assault and endangering a child’s welfare. Hazelwood Police said Jones kicked in a door to a residence in the 200 block of Becker Drive in Hazelwood and began to beat a woman. During the assault, the woman’s 2-year-old child was knocked into a wall. Police said Jones and the woman have another child together. Jones was being held Friday in St. Louis County jail.
