Police: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Car, Injures Motorist on Lindbergh at Missouri Bottom Road

Thomas Gasperoni ran the red light causing the collision. Bridgeton Police said the other driver sustained a concussion and broken collarbone, along with three broken ribs.

A man faces assault charges after police said he ran a red light, crashing into another car and injuring the driver. Bridgeton Police said Thomas Gasperoni, 31, of the 600 block of Meadowgrass in Florissant was driving while intoxicated. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Gasperoni on March 5 with second-degree assault. Bridgeton Police said witnesses saw Gasperoni driving  at a high rate of speed Nov. 27 when he ran a red light at N. Lindbergh Boulevard and Missouri Bottom Road, crashing into another car. The other driver sustained a concussion, a broken collarbone, three broken ribs and cuts and bruises. Gasperoni’s blood was drawn at the hospital following the crash. Man Leaves Accident on Blanchette Bridge, Racks Up Fourth DWI Charge in Two Years

Bart Laster has three previous alcohol-related driving convictions and faces three additional DWI charges.

A St. Charles man faces his fifth DWI charge within the last two years and his sixth alcohol-related driving charge overall. He was pulled over after leaving an accident scene at the Blanchette Bridge Wednesday, police said. Bart Laster, 40, of the 1000 block of Cole Boulevard in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated as an aggravated offender and leaving the scene of an accident. Man Charged With Assault in 2010 Blanchette Bridge Accident

Police said the man's blood-alcohol content was .12 percent during the accident.

A St. Charles County man was charged Friday with causing a 2010 accident on the Blanchette Bridge while driving drunk. Anthony Hutchins, 28, of the 1300 block of Summergate Parkway in St. Charles County just south of St. Peters, was charged with second-degree assault, driving while intoxicated. St. Louis County Police said Hutchins was speeding at 4:50 a.m. Sept. 25, 2010 when he hit the back of the first victim’s car. The collision caused that car to spin out of control and hit two bridge walls. A third car then struck the second car. Drivers of both victims’ cars were injured. Man Fakes Identity to Steal Cigarettes

Here are a few of the crimes that have occurred in the City of Hazelwood throughout the past two weeks. Hazelwood Patch attained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department. Property Damage: A vehicle was broken into at St. Louis Mills. There were no items stolen. There was damage to the vehicle. Burglary: Two burglaries occurred in the same night in Hazelwood. Trespassing: Two people were arrested after trespassing on private property in the 5300 block of Knoll Creek Drive. Drug Possession: A person was arrested after being found in possession of marijuana in the 8700 block of Pershall Road. At a Monday press conference police unveiled a new BAT van and victims showed what life is like after a alcohol related fatality.

North St. Louis County law enforcement joined forces Monday, for the official unveiling of the county's new Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) van. Hazelwood Police Department Set to Catch Intoxicated Drivers

The Hazelwood Police Department (HPD) will be conducting a DWI Sobriety Checkpoint during the weekend of Dec. 10 - 11 within the city limits.

Although the holiday season is upon us and is a time of celebration, the Hazelwood Police Department (HPD will be out in full-force, to remind drivers that driving while intoxicated will land you in the big house. HPD will be conducting a DWI Sobriety Checkpoint during the weekend of Dec. 10 - 11 within the city limits. Enforcement efforts will be enhanced during this year's Holiday Impaired Driving Campaign, from Dec. 6 - 12, to keep roads and highways.
