Twitter Crashes, Users Experiencing Social Media PTSD

At 11a.m. CST Twitter updated it's blog stating, "Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue."

If you can't access your Twitter account, don't go too crazy. Twitter went down for more than an hour on Thursday afternoon beginning at 10:59 a.m. CST, according to Twitter's page on tracking site Pingdom. With no place to complain about the outage in less than 140 characters, users have flocked to other social media sites including Facebook and Tumblr to express disdain. Service returned intermittently around noon, but Twitter is currently down as it crashed again. Twitter updated its status blog at 12:42 p.m. saying "the issue has been resolved and all services are currently operational." Hazelwood Residents Be Leery of Door-to-Door Scam

The Better Business Bureau warns people are falsely posing as students of L’École Culinaire in an effort to get victims to buy phony magazine subscriptions.

St. Louis area residents and those living in St. Louis County areas such as the City of Hazelwood should be alert for a new door-to-door magazine sales scam involving young people posing as students of L’École Culinaire, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) warns. A homeowner in the 5400 block of Pernod Avenue, in the city’s North Hampton neighborhood, said she was approached by a young man and a woman last week who asked her to buy magazine subscriptions to be sent to servicemen and women overseas. They told her that they were enrolled at the well-known culinary school in St. Louis County and were raising money to further their studies in Italy. The homeowner said she became suspicious when she asked the young woman for the name of the street…

It's so hard to pay if forward and be a good citizen with dishonest people all over the place. I had a young man knock on my door late at night last fall selling alarm systems and packages. I told him no thank you. He was polite and didn't come off threatening but it was the odd hour of night he knocked that got me. Another neighbor ended up calling the police on him.   more ›

Consumer Alert: Extra Strength Tylenol Recall

Johnson & Johnson announced June 28 that it is recalling another lot of Tylenol drugs. The reason for the recall is said to be user complaints that the medicines have moldy odor.

If you are a Tylenol user, you may want to check your medicine cabinet as McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a maker of Johnson & Johnson's Tylenol, has announced that it is recalling yet another lot of Tylenol drugs. The reason for the recall is said to be user complaints that the medicines have moldy odor, according to a statement on the company's website. The recall was announced June 28. The compnay's statement also calls the recall " voluntary."  The product in question is Extra Strength Tylenol caplets, 225 count bottles. According to a statement on Tylenol's website, there are about 60,912 bottles being recalled. The announcement comes exactly three months to the date after Tylenol's recall of its 8-hour extended release caplets, 150 count…
