Hazelwood City Council Very Active in November

Changes were made to annual competitions and new business plans were considered.

Hazelwood residents will now have an additional year to prepare their homes for the Blue Ribbon Home Award Program. This month City Council approved a motion the Community Enrichment Commissionrecommended to make the program a biannual event. "I've been judging for the last seven years," said Steve Rahmberg, co-chairman of the Community Enrichment Commission as he presented the request via formal letter. "It's getting to be less and less participation." Rahmberg said each year, fewer homes are nominated for judging. In addition, he said there are fewer people volunteering to do the judging.
