Starbucks Offers New $1 Reusable Tumbler

Would you pay $1 for the reusable plastic cup now available at St. Louis area Starbucks coffee shops?

In an effort to lesson the load of trash from disposable cups, Starbucks is now offering a new reusable tumbler.  (Get instant news updates. The Seattle-based coffee company is now selling the plastic cups for $1 at St. Louis coffee shops, including the two in Hazelwood on North Lindbergh and at St. Louis Outlet Mall. In fact, Monday evening, both West County locations reported they were already sold out of the tumblers, but expect more later this week. The cups bear the Starbucks logo and resembling the paper cups. Starbucks is also offering a ten cents discount for each refill.  According to USA Today, the $1 tumbler is reportedly the latest effort to address criticism and …

Bread Co. Warms Up St. Louis in February

Select businesses can warm their tummies with free soup on Wednesdays.

Even though St. Louis’ winter has been mild so far, there are surely still more chilly days to come. To get through the mid-week winter blues, St. Louis Bread Co. is launching a new program starting Wednesday, Feb. 1. Warm-Up Wednesdays is a new program where free soup is given to area businesses, community groups, construction site workers, volunteers, etc. There may not be a Bread Co. in the City of Hazelwood, but that doesn't mean Hazelwood residents can't benefit. Throughout February, Bread Co. is asking peope from throughout the Greater St. Louis Area to nominate those who they think deserves a Warm-Up via Twitter and Facebook.
