The identity of the student that brought a bullet to school is not being revealed; however, Diana Gulotta, superintendent for communication in the Hazelwood School District did discuss what his or her fate could be. "We cannot legally share specifics (regarding the student's specific punishment), she said, "but I can give you a range of punishment for that offense, which is 10 days out of school suspension up to expulsion." The Hazelwood School District, along with the Hazelwood Police Department is investigating how a bullet showed up at Hazelwood West Middle School (HWMS). "This afternoon, it was brought to my attention that a student in the 6th grade hallway found a single bullet," said HWMS Principal Tony Brooks in an email to parents.
