A man faces assault charges after police said he ran a red light, crashing into another car and injuring the driver. Bridgeton Police said Thomas Gasperoni, 31, of the 600 block of Meadowgrass in Florissant was driving while intoxicated. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Gasperoni on March 5 with second-degree assault. Bridgeton Police said witnesses saw Gasperoni driving at a high rate of speed Nov. 27 when he ran a red light at N. Lindbergh Boulevard and Missouri Bottom Road, crashing into another car. The other driver sustained a concussion, a broken collarbone, three broken ribs and cuts and bruises. Gasperoni’s blood was drawn at the hospital following the crash. A St. Louis County man was charged with robbing a Bridgeton resident at gunpoint in an apartment stairwell June 15. The St. Louis County Prosecutor’s office filed first-degree robbery and armed criminal action charges June 19 against Ryan McCuller-Hinds, 20, of the 11200 block of Ruesta Drive in unincorporated North County. Bridgeton Police said in a report that McCuller-Hinds and another person robbed the victim at gunpoint on a building stairwell at Bridgeport Crossing Apartments in the 3900 block of Brittany Circle. They took $250 cash and the victim’s cell phone. McCuller-Hinds is being held in St. Louis County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond. Police are looking for a man who tossed a pair of kittens from a car along Highway 370 Wednesday afternoon near the Bridgeton/Hazelwood border not too far from St. Louis Mills. Someone tossed a pair of kittens out of the window of his SUV while driving along Highway 370 in Bridgeton, according to the KTVI Fox 2 News report. Witnesses say the man was driving a 1970′s or ’80′s vintage SUV colored silver gray or greenish gray, according to Bridgeton police. He tossed kittens into the roadway and a car driving behind the SUV struck it. The kitten was instantly killed. Head over to Fox 2 news to find out what happened to the other kitten. A man shot at his victim moments after breaking into her apartment and stealing items at gunpoint, according to a Bridgeton Police report. Neikos Walker, 22, of St. Louis, was charged Friday with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and three counts of armed criminal action. Police said that Walker forced his way into the victim’s apartment in the 3300 block of Claxtonhall in Bridgeton, armed with a handgun. At gunpoint, he took cash, a PlayStation and a cell phone, and then fled to a waiting car, according to the report. The victim ran outside and around the apartment building.
