Hazelwood School District is awaiting the outcome as more than 300 students wait to get in from unaccredited schools. The case involving the School District of Clayton is expected to last three days, the district's website states.
The results of the Missouri Assessment Program were released to the public Thursday.
The state of Missouri has 30 days to respond. School districts including Hazelwood are waiting to see the impact this case will have on them.
The event is timely given the Good Friday tornado that hit the area, St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley said Monday during a news conference in Clayton.
