Readers React: More Nonresidents Might Head to White Birch Bay

After Florissant changed its prices to be comparable to Hazelwood's, many nonresidents have said they'd prefer White Birch.

White Birch Bay could see a big boon in business this summer, according to a number of reader comments.

Last week, Florissant City Council agreed to raise the pools’ daily rate and seasonal pass for nonresidents to be comparable to Hazelwood’s.

In return, a number of nonresidents expressed on the Florissant Patch Facebook page that they plan to go elsewhere for some fun in the sun and water.

Cassandra Nichole posted, “I'm a unincorporated Florissant resident but I will not pay double price at Koch park its not worth it , but I will pay that amount for white birch it's bigger better and I offer a more variety of fun.”

Melissa Benner also wrote, “Koch can't compete with White Birch, for sure. They will lose business quickly.”
