Hazelwood Summer Concert Series Goes to the 'Max'

Max Cherry Band set to perform Saturday in Truman Park.

If you’re a fan of a wide array of music, then Max Cherry band could be up your alley for entertainment this week.

The popular cover band will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. at Truman Park, 7029 Howdershell Rd. The band’s performance is a part of the city’s annual “Summer Concert Series.”

The six-piece band performs hits from R&B, country, pop and rock and spanning tunes from the ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s, according to a city press release.

Admission for the concert is free, and a shuttle service is available to attendees from White Birch Park, 1186 Teson Rd., starting at 6 p.m.

In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Hazelwood Community Center in White Birch Park.

The schedule continues through the summer and features:

  • July 4, Plastic

  • July 6, Trilogy, a variety, rock, pop, disco, R&B

  • July 27, 3rd Degree Band, oldies, classic rock, Motown

  • Aug. 10, Borderline, top country collection

  • Aug. 31, Woo Daddies, rock-a-billy and so much more
