Hazelwood's Fourth of July Fireworks Show to be the Best One Yet

The skies over Hazelwood will be lit up with hundreds of multi-colored star bursts when the city hosts its annual Fourth of July pyro-musical fireworks display on July 4, at White Birch Park.

On Fourth of July, a total of 1,700 shells are expected to be launched and explode in the air for approximately 20 minutes at , giving residents and guests one of the best fireworks shows in the North County area, according to supervisor Doug Littlefield.

“Last year, they did a superb job presenting the most spectacular fireworks show to date,” Littlefield said. “They gave us ‘more bang for our buck’ by doubling the number of aerial shells used in the show without making us go over our budget.”

Boy Scout Troop 730 will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, potato chips, soda, water, pretzels, sno-cones and candy at the park to help raise money for the organization.  In addition, the Women’s Democratic Club will have glow necklaces available for purchase.

Off-site parking will be available at the and . Both are within walking distance to White Birch

People can also park their vehicles at and use the shuttle bus service, starting at 7 p.m. 

The buses will be making pick-ups every 15 minutes.
