2013 MLB Draft: Will Devin Williams be a Detroit Tiger?

ESPN insider Keith Law projects the Detroit Tigers will select Hazelwood West's right-handed pitcher Devin Williams. The Tigers havent had a first round pick since 2010.

Hazelwood West High School's Devin Williams is committed to play baseball at the University of Missouri, but he may never put on that Tigers jersey.

Instead, he may be putting on a Detroit Tigers jersey. Buzz is generating surrounding the possibility of him going pro very quickly in he first round of the 2013 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft.

Williams is 4-1 with a 0.70 ERA in six starts for the Hazelwood West Wildcats.

MaxPreps ranks him #47 with its "Top 100 baseball seniors of the 2013 season."

The sporting authority says the list is a whole lot of names that you are likely to see in the upcoming Major League Draft.

Baseball America has Williams going 44th in the first round of the draft.

ESPN insider Keith Law projects the Detroit Tigers will select RHP Devin Williams, his raw talent and 90-93 MPH fast ball. 

"The 2013 MLB draft marks the first time the Detroit Tigers have had a first round pick since 2010," he said as reported on Detroit Jock City. "Dombrowski loves power pitchers."
