HSD PTA Run/Walk Raises $20,000 in Scholarships
The 32nd Annual PTA Council Scholarship Run/Walk has been set for May 11, 2013.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Council has tallied all funds and it appears almost $20,000 was raised for Hazelwood area students in this year's .
The money goes into the Hazelwood PTA Scholarship Foundation. Earlier in the month 100 graduating seniors were awarded $500 scholarships.
More than 1,700 people registered to participate, made a donation or purchased an event T-shirt to support the cause, according to Nez Savala, HSD communications specialist.

Approximately 750 people participated in race day activities including the 5K, 10K and one-mile races, children’s fun runs and a wellness fair.
