Hazelwood West High School Robotics Team Featured in HEC-TV series
The robotics team, along with Hazelwood Central's robotic team, are among seven local teams featured in a new series on HEC-TV, "Innovations is MindSport."
The Shrapnel Sergeants and the Hazelwood Central RoboHawks are among seven local teams featured in a new series on HEC-TV, “Innovations is MindSport.”
The series is an offshoot of HEC-TV's "Innovations" that explores St. Louis-based cutting edge initiatives in science, technology and medicine.
“Innovations is MindSport” will follow St. Louis area high school students as they tackle the excitement and challenge that is FIRST Robotics. Throughout the course of the series, which will run through May 2012, follow teams as they take on both the , which occured last weekend, and the .

Each episode enables viewers to go behind the scenes and watch the students work with engineers as they build teamwork, design and construct robots and program software.
The show airs on Fridays at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Charter Communications digital channels 989 or 118-26, or AT&T’s U-Verse channel 99. You can watch it anytime online.
