Hazelwood West High School Marching Band Marches in Inauguration Parade

This is the second time the band has participated in the parade.

The Hazelwood West High School (WHS) Marching Wildcats marched in the Inauguration Parade in Jefferson City on Monday at the invitation of State Treasurer Clint Zwiefel.

Aaron Jackson, band director, elected officials are allowed to invite a band to participate. Zwiefel is a Hazelwood West High School alumn.

“The students and I are very excited to have the honor of participating in the Inauguration Parade,” Jackson said. “It’s something that we all take a lot of pride in."

Jackson said the band and he were excited to represent WHS at such a prestigious event.

The Marching Wildcats performed a selection of songs from their show “Shadows.”

This is the second time the band has marched in the parade. It also participated in the 2008 Inauguration Parade.
