Hazelwood School District Board of Education Says Goodbye to Diane Dowdy

A longtime member of the board says her goodbyes. She has one final meeting before a newly elected member steps in.

Diane Dowdy was honored Monday, April 11 as she stepped down from her position on the Board of Education.  For 12 years Dowdy has labored to provide the finest education the district could muster. Dowdy’s devotion has brought her to become a camp counselor for the Girl Scouts of America, adjunct professor at Webster University and an Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award winning elementary teacher for Ritenour School District. The also acknowledged Dowdy’s dedication to the area.

Dowdy originally filed for re-election to the board of education, but of the race early on in January. Her last meeting with the board will be April 19.
