44 HSD Students Finish 2012 UMSL Bridge Program Summer Academy

The program offers students the opportunity to get a strong start on their educational goals.

Forty-four Hazelwood School District students successfully completed the 2012 Bridge Program Summer Academy at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The program provides high school students in ninth through 12th grade with “stimulating educational experiences that build strong academic proficiency essential to collegiate success.”

Since it began in 1986, the program’s focus has been on math and science enrichment. Students also receive strategies to enhance their writing and other communication skills, explore colleges and careers and prepare for the ACT.
