Sewer Repairs, Health Insurance and Workers' Compensation Move Around City Budget

City Council approves increasing the sewer lateral fund, as well as moving funds into this year's budget from the unencumbered general fund to pay out health insurance and workers' compensation.

Hazelwood City Council has approved two resolutions that allow Hazelwood City Manager, Edwin Carlstrom, to move around some city dollars to support the sewer lateral fund, as well as pay out health insurance premiums and workers' compensation.

Repairing Sewers

Hazelwood Finance Director, Lori Helle, said the resolution will allow a $42,000 increase in sewer lateral funds for the current fiscal year. The money will cover the current overage in sewer lateral repair reimbursement expenses  to residents, and provide for any additional expenses through the end of the fiscal year.
