Public Hearing Set for Fee Fee Road Project

The has budgeted and is set to begin the Fee Fee Road Improvement Project. But before any road work can begin, public opinion needs to be heard.

So the City of Hazelwood will be hosting a public hearing at the Nov. 17, 2011, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for the pubic to voice concerns and views on the design of Fee Fee Road with reference to the impact on every day life. This includes the economic and social effects of the proposed location and design, its impact on the environment and its consistency with the goals and objectives of the community.

Proposed Fee Fee Road improvements include:

• Improvement on Fee Fee Road from McDonnell Blvd. to Chapel Ridge would include one lane of traffic in each direction plus a center turn lane, enclosed drainage and a sidewalk on one side of the street.

Tentative schedules for right of way acquisition and construction will  also be discussed at the hearing.

The City of Hazelwood will have maps, plats, environmental documentation and other detailed information on-hand for public inspection and copying at Hazelwood City Hall.

Written statements, letters and other exhibits, as well as oral statements, will be received at the hearing. Written statements and exhibits will be made a part of the public hearing transcript if received within 10 days after the date of the hearing, according to the City of Hazelwood.

Tentative schedules for right of way acquisition and construction will be discussed at the hearing.
