New Turn Lane, Sidewalks Coming to Fee Fee Fee Road

The road will have updates done on the north and south corridor thanks to recent approval by Hazelwood City Council.

Fee Fee Road will be improved in both directions thanks to recent approved contracts by Hazelwood City Council.

The Council approved the contract awards for two companies late last month for construction services and right-of-way acquisition. Fee Fee Road, both north and south of McDonnell Boulevard, will be improved 13 years after the planning for it started, according to meeting minutes.

The city entered into a contract with J.M. Marschuetz Construction company for its services on Fee Fee North and O.R. Colan Associates for right-of-way acquisition for Fee Fee South.

Fee Fee Road North will have a center turn lane added and install sidewalks on the east side of the road. For the southern portion, street lighting will be added along with sidewalks.

In both projects, 80 percent of the funding will be done through federal grants. The other 20 percent will come through the economic development funding.
