Heads Up, Hazelwood: St. Louis County Voter Registration Deadline is Today, Oct. 10

If Hazelwood residents want to vote in the general election next month, they must be registered with the County by Wednesday.

If you’re not yet registered for next month’s general election, you've still got one last chance to do so, and it's today, Oct. 10.

The last day to register for the election is Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. If you’re mailing your application, it must be postmarked by Oct. 10.

Registering to vote is very simple. Missourians can register to vote:

Citizens are still allowed to register for absentee ballot up to the Wednesday before the election before 5 p.m. Citizens can request an absentee ballot by submitting the form found on the St. Louis County website.

In order to obtain an absentee ballot, you must meet one of the following:

  • Voters who will be absent from St. Louis County on election day
  • Incapacity or confinement due to sickness or disability, including caring for a person who is incapacited or confined due to sickness or disability (The affidavit envelope does not have to be notarized for anyone requesting an absentee ballot because of sickness or disability).
  • Religious belief or practice
  • Employment by the Election Board
  • Imprisonment, provided all other qualifications for voting are retained

The general election will be held Nov. 6.
