Hazelwood to Consider Street Repaving, Recognize Promoted Officers Wednesday

Hazelwood City Council will decide on contracting a company to mill and lay asphalt on specific streets throughout the city.

The Hazelwood City Council will convene Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., to discuss city business. The council will meet in its chambers at Hazelwood City Hall.

Hazelwood City Manager Edwin Carlstrom will present the council with information and make recommendations regarding contracting a company to mill and lay asphalt on streets throughout the city.

Council will also recognize three Hazelwood Police Department officers recently promoted. The list includes Maj. Henry Mansker, Cpt. Kenneth Jewson and Cpt. James Hudanick.

At its last meeting, re-elected council members took their oaths of office.

Steve Day, senior director of operations at HMSHost, also approached council representing Tony Roma's. He asked council to transfer the restaurant's liquor license from a manager that is no longer working for the company to its current manger.

Council approved the request.
