Bridgeton Landfill Fire Meeting Tonight, Watch Online

Can't make Rep. Bill Otto's meeting at 7 p.m. with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources about the underground landfill fire? Watch online.

State Rep. Bill Otto is hosting a public meeting tonight at 7 p.m. with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to discuss the Bridgeton Landfill fire at Pattonville High School in the cafeteria.

Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will not be present physically at the meeting. Instead, people will have to submit written questions for representatives to answer during the meeting.

The underground fire at the Bridgeton Sanitary Landfill has been burning for two-and-a-half years. It is slowly creeping toward the nuclear site at West Lake Landfill.

Workers are implementing a court-approved plan to put out the fire, which involved smothering it.
