1,100 Turn Out to See Steelman, Akin and Brunner Debate

Large crowds of people turned out in near Hazelwood for the GOP U.S. Senate debate.

Voters, both decided and undecided, in the race for the Republican Senate nomination swarmed Monday night near the to hear Todd Akin, Sarah Steelman and John Brunner debate the issues.

The three candidates are vying for the GOP senate nomination in an effort to oust Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill.

FM NewsTalk 97.1 hosted the debate. Lindenwood organizers said 1,100 people came out to hear the candidates speak.
