Purse Snatcher Assaults Woman on North Hanley, Vandals Break Out Window at Garrett Elementary

Here are some briefs on crimes that occurred in Hazelwood spanning from theft, to drug possession to assault.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: The (HPD) responded to a call at where a window had been shattered on February 26.

DRUG ARREST: What the HPD thought was a routine traffic stop resulted in the driver being arrested for being in possession of marijuana on February 26.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT: A man was arrested after he participated in a fight with  a woman in the 12000 block of Missouri Bottom Road on February 26.

SECOND-DEGREE BURGLARY: HPD responded to a call in the 8700 block of Santa Bella Dr., and found that a burglar had forced entry through front door of the residence and stolen a television and X-Box video game console on February 22.

SECOND-DEGREE ROBBERY: A woman was assaulted in the 7300 block of North Hanley on February 22. A man hit the woman in the face with a fist and took her purse. He was last seen fleeing in a dark colored pickup truck north on Hanley according to HPD.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: A man went to jail in the 1500 block of Ville Rosa after a drunken fight. According to HPD, the intoxicated man was observed assaulting his girlfriend in front of a residence on February 22. Officers attempted to take him into custody and he assaulted two officers.

STEALING: HPD arrested a shoplifter at Cabela’s on February 21.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: A man was arrested at St. Louis Mills for assaulting his girlfriend on February 21.

STEALING: Two shoplifters were arrested at Old Navy on February 21.

BURGLARY: HPD responded to a call on February 21 in the 200 block of Manning Ave. where they found that a suspect forced the back door of residence open. The victim was inside, and the suspect ran off when it was realized that someone was home.
