Police: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Car, Injures Motorist on Lindbergh at Missouri Bottom Road
Thomas Gasperoni ran the red light causing the collision. Bridgeton Police said the other driver sustained a concussion and broken collarbone, along with three broken ribs.
A man faces assault charges after police said he ran a red light, crashing into another car and injuring the driver. Bridgeton Police said Thomas Gasperoni, 31, of the 600 block of Meadowgrass in Florissant was driving while intoxicated.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Gasperoni on March 5 with second-degree assault.
Bridgeton Police said witnesses saw Gasperoni driving at a high rate of speed Nov. 27 when he ran a red light at N. Lindbergh Boulevard and Missouri Bottom Road, crashing into another car.

The other driver sustained a concussion, a broken collarbone, three broken ribs and cuts and bruises.
Gasperoni’s blood was drawn at the hospital following the crash. An analysis showed his blood-alcohol content was 0.161 percent, twice the legal limit.

Gasperoni was arrested on a warrant March 11 after being charged. He posted 10 percent of a $20,000 bond and was released the same day.
