Police Chief Carl Wolf Hangs Up His Badge for Good
After serving as the Hazelwood police chief for 26 years, Wolf retired on July 1.
Long-time Hazelwood Police Chief Carl Wolf officially retired on July 1. The 42-year law enforcement veteran originally when he sent out a statement indicating that he was ready to start a new chapter in life.
“I want to thank the City of Hazelwood and its wonderful residents for giving me an opportunity to be their Chief of Police," Wolf said in the statement. "I’ve enjoyed every minute of the 26 years I’ve been with the city, but I feel it’s now time for me to move on in a different direction.”
He added that he was grateful for the privilege of working with past and present department employees who helped him “build an outstanding law-enforcement organization that is second to none.”

Chief Wolf served the Hazelwood Community for 26 years. He is a member of VFW Post 6368, American Legion Post #4 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 794.
