FIRST DEGREE DOMESTIC ASSAULT: A male victim was cut on the leg and hands with box cutter by his girlfriend in the 7300 Block of Normandie Ct. The male was transported to DePaul for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, and the female who was located near the scene was taken into custody.

VEHICLE THEFT: Thieves stole cash, shoes and an iPod from unlocked vehicle near Neighborhood 3 at St. Louis Mills, according to police.

When trying to maintain peace and order for a midnight release of the latest Michael Jordon brand shoe design, several hundred customers became unruly and created an unsafe environment, according to police. The shoe sale was called off by store management and the large crowd was dispersed and the mall was closed without further incident.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT: A crash in the 8400 block of Bridle Spur ended with a dark colored two-door Ford Explorer leaving the scene after striking two cars parked on the street, according to police.

STEALING: Someone stole copper wire from the cell phone tower located in the 12500 block of Missouri Bottom Rd, according to police.

 

December 20

THIRD DEGREE ASSAULT: In the 650 block of Village Square, two cousins got into a physical argument over one possibly taking the others CD’s, according to police.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: A individual that came to a court hearing related to drug charges was found to be in the possession of a suspected marijuana pipe, according to police.

 

December 17

ROBBERY: Hazelwood Police officers responded 7-Eleven on N. Lindbergh for a reported robbery. According to the report, the victim, a night clerk for the business, stated that a man entered the store and demanded money. After receiving the cash the suspect left the store running west toward Hazelwood Bowl located in the rear of the store. Arriving officers searched the area for the suspect and vehicle to no avail. The investigation is ongoing.  

 

December 9

ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD: A 2 year old child was found attempting to cross Howdershell Road from the Knollwood Apartment complex, according to police. The parent was located in the 5300 block of Knoll Creek, a report was made and the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline was notified.
