Police Blotter: Cell Phone Sale Goes Awry, Seller Snatches and Runs

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred on Sept. 19 through Sept. 22 in the City of HazelwoodHazelwood Patch obtained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

Sept. 22
Second-Degree Burglary: A thief stole jewelry from the bedroom of a house in the 700 block of Riderwood.

Stealing: Two people met at St. Louis Outlet Mall. One was selling a cell phone to the other. The seller took the buyer's money and ran. The seller was located via his cell phone number and arrested.

Sept. 21
Stealing: A teen was arrested for stealing at Cabela's and was released to his mother. 

Vehicle Theft: A person let a friend borrow their car in the 8700 block Sieloff. It was not returned. A reported was filed and the person was entered as wanted.

Stealing: A man and a woman stole food products at Dollar General, located at 8780 Pershall Rd., and ran. Police checked the area but did not find the suspects.  

Sept. 20
Stealing: Curling irons were stolen from a kiosk at St. Louis Outlet Mall. 

Stealing: A person was arrested for stealing a baseball hat from Cabela's.

Stealing: A person was arrested for stealing and making a false declaration at St. Louis Outlet Mall.

Lost Article: An engagement ring was lost at St. Louis Outlet Mall.

First Degree Assault/Armed Criminal Action: See "Man Shot Multiple Times in Hazelwood Near James S. McDonnell Blvd."
