Pedestrian Walks Into Traffic, Baffles Police

A woman allegedly walks into traffic Wednesday morning near a Hazelwood School District elementary school, leaving police wondering why.

Police are trying to figure out why a woman parked her car on the side of the road and allegedly walking into oncoming traffic.

A car hit the North St. Louis County pedestrian at about 7 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Bellefontaine Road and Claudine Drive, according to the St. Louis County Police Department (St. Louis County Police).

The woman, who was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital for treatment, was hit near Twillman Elementary School in the Hazelwood School District.
