Neighbor's Photos Lead Police to Burglary Suspect

St. Louis County Police said a witness kept tabs on a man who came to his door. The visitor now is charged with burglary and stealing.

A Hazelwood resident kept tabs on a man who came to his door July 16 and helped police nab a burglary suspect, according to a St. Louis County Police report.

Terry Winebarger II, 39, of the 6000 block of Lindbergh Boulevard in , was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.

said Winebarger knocked on door near Sunset Drive in Hazelwood and asked the resident if he could use his hose. The resident watched Winebarger leave his residence and go further into the subdivision, police said in a report.

The witness took photos of Winebarger’s car in front of a neighbor’s house in the 12000 block of Sunset Drive. The home later was reported burglarized.

Two laptop computers, a flat screen TV, digital camera two DVD players, computer tower and a checkbook were stolen.

Police said Winebarger pawned items from the victim’s home one hour after the burglary.

Bond was set at $50,000.
