Man is Charged With 2011 Robbery and Shooting in Hazelwood

The suspect also is being charged with murder in a robbery and shooting in Ferguson.

A man has been charged in a Jan. 2011 shooting in Hazelwood.

Quinton J. Jackson, 20, of St. Louis city, is charged with first degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, first degree assault.

Jackson and another person were in a 1998 Buick Century with Isaiah and Deandre Watson in the 8500 block of Tally Ho Drive when Jackson robbed Isaiah at gunpoint at about 12:05 p.m., according to the report. The report does not name the person who accompanied Jackson.

Jackson then got out of the car and shot Deandre Watson, the report reads. The victims drove off. Jackson also fired shots at the victims’ car from 8440 Pershall Road, about a block away from the robbery. One shot hit the car.

Jackson also is being charged with murder in the shooting death of Lawrence Valiant, 29, of Ferguson. Jackson and Jacqueline Baron, 18, of Alton, tried to rob Valiant outside his apartment a month after the Hazelwood shooting, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
