Man Charged with Shooting at Robbery Victim

Bridgeton Police said the suspect forced his way into a woman's apartment and robbed her at gunpoint moments earlier.

A man shot at his victim moments after breaking into her apartment and stealing items at gunpoint, according to a Bridgeton Police report.

Neikos Walker, 22, of St. Louis, was charged Friday with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and three counts of armed criminal action.

Police said that Walker forced his way into the victim’s apartment in the 3300 block of Claxtonhall in Bridgeton, armed with a handgun. At gunpoint, he took cash, a PlayStation and a cell phone, and then fled to a waiting car, according to the report. The victim ran outside and around the apartment building. When the defendant saw her, he fired at least one shot at her, police said in the report.

Bond was set at $100,000. Walker currently is being held in St. Louis County Jail.
