Man Charged with Breaking into Hazelwood House

Police said two men entered the home after kicking in the door while the resident was home.

An 18-year-old St. Louis man is accused of a burglary Friday afternoon in .

Dion T. Sanders, 18, of the 2600 block of Caroline in St. Louis, was Sunday with first-degree burglary and stealing.

According to a report, Sanders and another man parked in front of a home in the 8400 block of Steve Avenue and knocked on the door at about 12:30 p.m. Friday. The resident was home but did not answer the door because she did not recognize the man.

They backed the car into the driveway, and Sanders and another man approached the house and kicked in the front door, police said in court documents. The two took cash and a television remote and fled when police arrived, according to the police report.

Bond for Sanders was set at $25,000.
