Man Breaks Into House, Steals Car and Guns While Owner Sleeps

And, a car stolen in Hazelwood is found in Berkeley in Friday's crime report.

January 31

Burglary/Vehicle Theft: A person broke into a house in the 8800 block of Heather and stole vehicle keys, along with two handguns and the vehicle. The homeowner was sleeping in the living room chair and heard nothing.

Drug Arrest: A person was arrested for having drugs during a traffic stop in the 7300 block of N Lindbergh.

Stealing: A purse was stolen from a car in the 6000 block of Boulder Creek.

Misc. Report: A 17-year-old ward of the state walked away from Mary Grove Child Center and was located in the 100 block of Mission Walk. The juvenile was returned to Mary Grove.

Stealing: A license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 7400 block of Normandie Ct.

Recovered Stolen Auto: A car stolen from the 6800 block of Latty was located in Berkeley.

Second-Degree Burglary: Tools taken from vacant residence in the 7700 block of Hazelcrest.

February 1

Third-Degree Domestic Assault: An woman assaulted her ex-husband in the 300 block of Chalmette. Upon police arrival, she was entered as wanted.

February 2

Stealing: License plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 7500 block of Hazelcrest.

Third-Degree Domestic: A man hit a woman in the face in the 5400 block of Knoll Creek. Upon police arrival he was entered as wanted.
