Homeowner Finds a Hole in His House, Reports it to Police

Also, shoppers at Howdershell Road Dollar General don't let a thief get away. The HPD supplied Tuesday's crime report. Arrests or charges listed don't indicate conviction.

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred April 6 and April 7 in the City of Hazelwood. Hazelwood Patch obtained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

April 6

Property Damage: A homeowner in the 7600 block of Hazelcrest found what appeared to be a hole on the side of his residence.

Property Damage/Stealing: A person broke into a car at St. Louis Outlet Mall and stole the stereo. The person damaged the door handle when they pried it open.

Stealing: A man said he took his vehicle to Allen Transmission for repairs, and when it was time to pick up the vehicle he realized items were missing.

April 7

Stealing: A person drove away in their car after stealing from Howdershell Road Dollar General. A witness wrote down the thief's license plate and vehicle information. The person is now wanted for stealing.

Second-Degree Burglary: A person broke into a house in the 8700 block of Sieloff and damaged some things.
