Hazelwood Police Investigating A Dumped Car, Possible Arson

Police believe a vehicle found on fire was set purposely.

The responded to a call of a fire at 's Friday night to find a dumped vehicle set on fire.

According to Sgt. Andy Eagan, it appears that a vehicle was set on fire by unknown persons and is being investigated as a possible arson.

Eagan said the vehicle is a leased vehicle and may have been stolen before set on fire.

There were no injuries.

Hazelwood Patch received news tips about the police cars and crime scene tape surrounding that area of the park beginning around 11 p.m. Friday.
